Harvard Museum of Natural History and MIT Museum

Today we started our day with watching a Bill Nye video on Caves.

At around 8:45 we boarded the bus, and headed to the Harvard Museum of Natural History. There we explored most of the exhibits while working on a scavenger hunt made by Mrs. Hebda. The scavenger hunt consisted of various questions from different exhibits, and we had an hour and a half to complete it. After time was up, we got on the bus to go to the MIT museum.

At the MIT museum we were given an hour to roam around and look at the different exhibits on display. There were several different machines on display, and there were also many interactives that we were free to play around with. There was one room that had many inventions made by MIT students and another room that was filled with holograms.  Finally, before boarding the bus, we browsed through the gift shop and found many cools things like puppets of famous scientists and different toys involving science.

When we reached the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall, we were allowed to go buy lunch and wander the mall, if there was time. At 1:40, we met near the exit and boarded the bus. We got back to McCall right before the end of the school day.
