Town Line Bowling and Jordan's Furniture

This morning we were served breakfast in the cafeteria. We could choose between french toast or pancakes with a side of bacon and home fries.

After eating our meal, we boarded the bus to Town Line Luxury Lanes to bowl with a team of five. Everyone played to the best of their ability but there was no final winner. After everyone finished a few rounds of bowling, we all went to the arcade in hopes of winning many tickets to get a great prize! A few people won the jackpot in the arcade and received many tickets. After many games and collecting prizes, we had lunch and some people played pool. Once we were done, we boarded the busses to go to Bean Town.

Bean Town was a blast! Everyone enjoyed some ice cream and a beautiful water show. Some students and Ms. Campbell went on the ropes coarse and went on the zip line a few times! Everyone was impressed by the student's skill on the ropes!                    - written by Lacey Ceruolo and Anne Costello

Duck Boat Tour

Although today was a half day, we still got to enjoy a very fun experience.

Despite the traffic on the way into Cambridge, we got to enjoy a duck boat tour. When we arrived at the Museum of Science, we split into two groups (2 ducks) and headed off right away because of our delay in traffic.

The duck tour passed the TD Garden, Old North Church, the Boston Public Garden and many other historical sites in our home city. As we rode through the the streets, we heard stories about different events that took place during history, most of which took place leading up the the American Revolution. Not only did we learn many facts about these interactions between our founding fathers and England, we also heard stories about people like Paul Revere which you normally wouldn't come across in a textbook.

To finish off the tour, the duck turned into a boat and we were in the Charles River!

The tour dropped us off back at the Museum of Science, and we got on the bus back to McCall.

Harvard Museum of Natural History and MIT Museum

Today we started our day with watching a Bill Nye video on Caves.

At around 8:45 we boarded the bus, and headed to the Harvard Museum of Natural History. There we explored most of the exhibits while working on a scavenger hunt made by Mrs. Hebda. The scavenger hunt consisted of various questions from different exhibits, and we had an hour and a half to complete it. After time was up, we got on the bus to go to the MIT museum.

At the MIT museum we were given an hour to roam around and look at the different exhibits on display. There were several different machines on display, and there were also many interactives that we were free to play around with. There was one room that had many inventions made by MIT students and another room that was filled with holograms.  Finally, before boarding the bus, we browsed through the gift shop and found many cools things like puppets of famous scientists and different toys involving science.

When we reached the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall, we were allowed to go buy lunch and wander the mall, if there was time. At 1:40, we met near the exit and boarded the bus. We got back to McCall right before the end of the school day.

Boston Tea Party Museum and Faneuil Hall

This morning we all took part in making breakfast in the foods lab. Our meal consisted of pancakes, bacon, and fruit salad all made by the students!

We boarded the bus around 10 and drove into Boston. We walked into the Boston Tea Party colonial meeting house and received a feather and a card with our colonial identities on it. We listened to "Samuel Adams" and "Mary Young" who got us hyped up about the unfair treatment we were receiving from England. We then boarded the ship and began tossing chests of tea into the harbor. After, we viewed the rest of the ship.

After we went on the boat, we entered the museum part and saw one of the two remaining tea boxes that still remains today from 1773. We watched a short video about the difference of patriot women and loyalist women. The last thing we did was watch a video on how the Revolutionary War started and the battle in Lexington.

When we were done at the museum, we walked to Faneuil Hall and were allowed to go on our own in order to have lunch and do some shopping! - written by Lacey Ceruolo and Anne Costello

Fenway Park

Image of our group on the Green Monster.

So our day started with us watching half of the movie National Treasure.  After that, a school bus arrived and brought us to Fenway Park. There, we were greeted by our tour guide Ed. Ed showed us around the park, including the really high up seats.

Fun Fact: The only two green Coke Machines in the world are at Fenway Park. At the end of our tour we went to a nearby gift shop to shop. It was almost 1:00 when we got back to McCall. Then we ate lunch and finished National Treasure.
